Ryukakusan is a throat medicine whose main ingredients are herbal medicines (bellflower, senega, chinensis, and licorice) that activate antitussive and expectorant effects.
The inner surface of the human trachea is lined with ciliary cells, which vibrate constantly at a rate of about 1,500 times per minute, and secrete mucus from the inner wall of the trachea. Dirt, dust, bacteria, etc. that pass through the respiratory tract are absorbed into this mucus and expelled from the body by the vibration of the cilia. This is nature’s purifying action.
If you use your throat too much, smoke, or breathe in dirty air, your throat will become inflamed and painful, and your tongue will become tangled, reducing its purifying ability and causing you to suffer from coughing. When you take Ryukakusan in such situations, the active ingredient saponin glycosides in Bellflower Senega increases the secretion of mucus from the inner surface of the trachea, activates ciliary movement, removes tongue, calms the cough, and relieves inflammation.

Usage and dosage
Please take the following amount with the attached saji (1 cup 0.3g).
Adults (15 years and older): 1 cup per dose, 3 to 6 times per day
11 years old or older and under 15 years old: 2/3 cup per dose, 3 to 6 times per day
8 years old or older and under 11 years old: 1/2 cup per dose, 3 to 6 times per day
Ages 5 to under 8: 1/3 cup per dose, 3 to 6 times per day
Ages 3 to 5: 1/4 cup per dose, 3 to 6 times per day
Over 1 year old and under 3 years old: 1/5 cup per dose, 3 to 6 times per day
3 months or older and under 1 year old: 1/10 cup per dose, 3 to 6 times per day
Less than 3 months: Do not take
●Ryukakusan is a drug that exerts its effects by directly acting on the mucous membranes of the throat.

[How to take Ryukakusan]
1. Open the inner pig.
2. Take a heaping amount on a saji.
3. Place the medicine on your tongue and let it dissolve slowly as you bring it to your throat.
