This medicine inhibits SGLT2, which reabsorbs glucose in the kidney, to increase excretion of glucose in the urine and decrease the blood glucose. It also suppresses reabsorption of sodium by inhibiting SGLT2 in the kidney and exerts other various effects to improve chronic heart failure and prognosis of chronic kidney disease.
It is usually used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus, chronic heart failure or chronic kidney disease.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
feeling of weakness, hunger, cold sweat[hypoglycemia] thirst, polyuria/pollakiuria, decreased blood pressure[dehydration] nausea/vomiting, decreased appetite, abdominal pain[ketoacidosis] chill, fever, pain in the flank/back[pyelonephritis, necrotizing fasciitis of the vulva and perineum (Fournier’s gangrene), sepsis]
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is (( to be written by a healthcare professional)) For type 2 diabetes mellitus: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day, before or after breakfast. If the effect is insufficient, the dosage may be increased to 25 mg at a time once a day.
For chronic heart failure and chronic kidney disease: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day, before or after breakfast.
This preparation contains 10 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule on the following day. You should never take two doses at one time. If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
The following patients may need to be careful when using
this medicine.
Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist.
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
If you have ketosis, diabetic coma or precoma, infections, injury, pituitary gland insufficiency, adrenal insufficiency, irregular eating habit, urinary tract infection, genital infection, type 1 diabetes mellitus, severe renal dysfunction with eGFR less than 20 mL/min/1.73 m2 or end-stage kidney disease on dialysis.
If you are in the pre- or post-operative period, in poor nutritional state, starved, debilitated or prone to dehydration.
If you cannot eat enough, exercise intensely or drink a lot of alcohol.
For the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus: If you have moderate renal dysfunction with eGFR less than 45 mL/min/1.73 m2.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Storage conditions and other information
Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (1 to 30 degrees Celsius) away from direct sunlight and moisture. Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to discard, seek advice of your pharmacy or medical institution. Do not give the unused medicines to others.

・If you have a history of hypersensitivity to tiaprofenic acid, suprofen, fenofibrate, or products containing oxybenzone or octocrylene (sunscreen, fragrance, etc.).
・If you have a history with photosensitivity reaction.
・If you are a patient with bronchial asthma.
・If you are under the age of 20 (If you have many opportunities to be exposed to sunlight such as outdoor activities, etc.).
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Precautions while taking this medicine
・Shield the application site from sunlight with colored clothes or supporters during application and for the time being after use, since this medicine may cause photosensitivity (a rash developed at the site exposed to sunlight).
