(7) When putting on and taking off the lenses, avoid raising your fingernails or touching your fingertips directly to your eyes.
[Check the left and right lenses and the lenses and container]
(1) Check the right lens and left lens. (If you mistake left and right, you may not be able to get proper vision.)
(2) Before opening, please check that there are no abnormalities in the lens and container.
[How to remove from container]
(1) Separate the container.
・Please separate each container one by one.
(2) Shake the container.
・Before removing the foil from the container, shake the container slightly to make sure that the lens is in the storage solution.
(3) Peel off the foil.
・Hold the container and foil firmly and slowly peel off the foil to prevent the preservation solution from scattering.
・When separating the container or peeling off the foil, be careful not to cut your hands on the edge of the foil or container.
(4) Remove from container.
・Put your index finger into the storage solution and gently scoop up the lens by following the curve of the container with the pad of your finger. At this time, be careful not to scratch or damage the lens with your fingernails.
[Checking the lens] (Checking for lens abnormalities)
・Remove the lens and check that there are no abnormalities such as deformation, discoloration, adhesion of foreign objects or dirt, scratches, or damage to the lens. If you wear lenses with these abnormalities, you may experience pain or irritation while wearing them, or they may damage your eyes, so please do not use them.
[How to attach the lens]
(1) Drain the water.
・Pinch the edge of the lens and gently shake it up and down to remove moisture.
(2) Place it on your finger.
— Dry your hands and fingers with a clean towel. Gently place the lens on the index finger of your dominant hand. At this time, be sure to check the front and back of the lens.
(3) Open your eyes wide with your fingers.
・Pull the lower eyelid down with the middle finger of the hand holding the lens, and while pressing the eyelash line with the index or middle finger of the other hand, lift the upper eyelid and open the eye wide.
(4) Place it on the black eye.
— Place the lens on your index finger slowly over the iris of your eye.
(5) Close your eyes.
— Blink slowly a few times to stabilize the lens on the black eye.
(6) Check the attachment.
— Cover your other eye with your hand and check that the lens is properly attached and that you can see clearly.
(7) Attach the lens to the other eye in the same way.
[How to remove the lens]
(1) Open your eyes wide with your fingers.
— Look closely in the mirror and check the position of the lens. Pull the lower eyelid with the middle finger of your dominant hand, and while pressing the eyelash line with the index or middle finger of your other hand, lift the upper eyelid and open your eyes wide.
(2) Move the lens.
・Use the index finger of your dominant hand to move the lens slightly below the black eye so that about half of the bottom of the lens rests on the white of the eye. If you forcefully remove the lens without shifting it, you may damage your cornea. If the lens is difficult to move, either blink slowly and widely several times to remove the tears, or follow your eye doctor’s instructions to apply soft contact lens eye drops to moisten the eyes sufficiently before removing them.
(3) Pinch the lens.
While sliding the lens down towards the white of your eye, pinch the bottom of the lens with the pad of your thumb and index finger and remove it. At this time, be careful not to scratch your eyes or damage the lenses with your fingernails.
[Periodic inspection]
(1) Be sure to undergo periodic examinations one week, one month, and three months after you start wearing lenses, and every three months thereafter, or as directed by your ophthalmologist.
