Posterisan forte (Ointment) [Class 1 Drugs]

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include itchiness, defecation desire and discomfort in the area where the medicine was applied. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

• In general, apply an appropriate amount of this medicine to the affected area or squeeze into the anus 1 to 3 times a day. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
• When you squeeze into the anus, pay attention to the following points.
  -First, squeeze out a small amount of the ointment. This will make the nozzle (the tapered part) smooth and makes it easier to administer the medicine.
  — Insert only the nozzle part (not the whole container).
• Take care not to get this medicine in your eyes.
• If you miss a dose, apply/squeeze in the missed dose when you remember. You should not apply/squeeze in two doses at one time.
• If you accidentally apply/squeeze in more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
• Do not stop applying/squeezing in this medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

• If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicines or foods.
  If you have the following anal diseases: tuberculous infection or suppuration, viral disease, or mycosis (candidiasis, tinea, etc.)
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

• Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (1 to 30 degrees Celsius), away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to dispose of them, please consult the pharmacy or medical institution where you received them. Do not give them to others.
